German Language Training in India

Planning Germany? Start your German early.

If you’re planning Ausbildung in Germany, learning German is something we would strongly suggest starting early.

A lot of students tell us, “I’ll learn German once I decide my course.”

We usually advise the opposite.

Once you start looking at applications, interviews and visa requirements, having a good language base makes everything easier. And German isn’t something you can realistically learn well in a few weeks because an application deadline is approaching.

At Anigdha, we offer German language courses from A1 to B2, along with Goethe and telc exam preparation.

Whether you’re starting German from zero or you’ve already studied it, we can help you understand where you should start and what level you should ultimately be working towards.

German Courses from A1 to B2

We offer structured German language training across four levels:

  • A1 German Course – for complete beginners
  • A2 German Course – for students who already know the basics
  • B1 German Course – for developing more independent communication
  • B2 German Course – for advanced academic and professional communication

The important thing is to start at the right level.

If you’ve never studied German, A1 is the natural starting point.

If you’ve already completed A1, you may be ready for A2.

And if you’ve studied German before, don’t automatically start from the beginning again. Your actual ability matters more than simply counting how many months you’ve attended German classes.

A1 German Course

Starting German from zero?

A1 is where you build the foundation.

You’ll work on pronunciation, vocabulary, simple sentence formation, introductions, everyday expressions, basic reading, writing, listening and speaking.

You won’t become fluent at A1. That’s not the point.

The aim is to become comfortable with the basics and build a foundation you can actually use.

A2 German Course

Already know the basics?

At A2, you start using more of the German you’ve learnt.

You’ll work on everyday conversations, vocabulary, listening, reading, writing and situations such as work, travel, shopping and daily life.

This is also where we start encouraging students to move away from simply memorising dialogues and become more comfortable creating their own sentences.

B1 German Course

Ready to communicate more independently?

B1 is an important stage for many students preparing for Ausbildung in Germany.

At this level, we work on speaking, listening, reading and writing, along with expressing opinions, explaining experiences and handling practical situations more independently.

And here’s something we tell students often:

Don’t study B1 only because you need a certificate.

You may need German at interviews, during your training and later at work. Your German needs to make sense outside the classroom too.

B2 German Course

Need stronger German for academic or professional situations?

At B2, the expectation is higher.

You’ll work with longer conversations, more detailed texts, structured writing, complex grammar and vocabulary that takes you closer to academic and professional communication.

B2 can be particularly relevant for students considering nursing, healthcare, university or professional work in Germany, depending on the requirements of their particular pathway.

But don’t choose B2 simply because somebody tells you that a higher level is always better.

Your target should make sense for your actual plan.

Goethe & telc Exam Preparation

Learning German and preparing for a German examination are not exactly the same thing.

Some students know enough German but still struggle in the exam because they aren’t familiar with the format.

Others are comfortable with reading and listening but need considerably more practice with speaking or writing.

At Anigdha, we provide Goethe and telc exam preparation focused on the areas where you actually need help.

Preparation can include:

  • Reading
  • Listening
  • Writing
  • Speaking
  • Exam format
  • Practice tests
  • Common problem areas

We don’t assume that every student needs the same preparation.

If you’re specifically preparing for a Goethe or telc B2 examination, we also provide dedicated B2 exam preparation support.

Which German Course Should You Choose?

This is something you don’t necessarily have to figure out on your own.

Your current levelWhere you can start
New to GermanA1 German Course
Completed A1 / have basic knowledgeA2 German Course
Comfortable with everyday GermanB1 German Course
Ready for more advanced communicationB2 German Course
Preparing for a recognised examinationGoethe / telc Exam Preparation

If you’re unsure about your level, don’t guess.

A certificate from an old course doesn’t always tell us how comfortable you actually are with German. We would rather understand what you can currently understand, speak, read and write before deciding where you should start.

German for Ausbildung in Germany

If your reason for learning German is Ausbildung, don’t wait until you’re ready to submit applications.

Your language journey needs to run alongside your Germany preparation.

The level you need can depend on the Ausbildung, employer and profession, so we don’t recommend assuming that one level automatically works for every student.

For example, students considering nursing or healthcare may have different language expectations from students pursuing other Ausbildung pathways.

That’s why we encourage students to first understand their intended pathway and then work backwards from the actual requirement.

Why Learn German with Anigdha?

We don’t want German language training to become just another certificate exercise.

You need the language for what comes after the certificate too.

That can mean interviews, applications, training, work, study and everyday communication in Germany.

So the objective at every level is the same:

Learn German that you can actually use.

Ready to Start German?

Whether you’re starting from zero or already have some German knowledge, the first step is figuring out where you should actually begin.

Anigdha provides German language training from A1 to B2, along with Goethe and telc exam preparation.

Talk to Anigdha’s team about your current German level and your plans for Germany.

We’ll help you understand the right starting point and the language level you should be working towards.

Don’t wait until your Germany application is around the corner to start German. Start early, build it properly and give yourself time to actually use the language.

About the Author

At Anigdha, we know that students don’t usually struggle because information is difficult to find. The real problem is often that there is too much of it and it isn’t always clear what actually applies to their situation.

That’s why our guides focus on the questions students and parents genuinely ask during counselling. Our Writing & Editing Team reviews official requirements, admission processes and practical considerations before publishing, and we revisit important content when rules or processes change.

Our aim isn’t to push every student towards the same pathway. It is to explain the options clearly, point out what you need to consider and help you make a decision that fits your goals.
